The prestige won throughout the years, has helped Korta to be known for the good quality of its products which are exported to countries in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Nineteen forty eight was the year in which Korta was born, when José Korta started his business as the Korta Tannery. Since then the business has developed and grown until it has become one of the main companies in its trade in Chile. In 1989 the Korta family, guided by Francisco Korta, makes a change in its business and creates a new company, called Frutas de Curicó (Fruits of Curicó), which was oriented one hundred per cent towards the fruit producing area. In 1997, Korta embarked upon the most ambitious and challenging projects of their its trajectory; that is how Bodega y Viñedos Korta was born (Korta Wine Cellar and Vineyards) The vineyard is located 200 km south of Santiago (Chile’s capital city), at parallel 35° south
